CR: And The Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini & Red Rising by Pierce Brown
I haven't read that much today (about 50 pages) but I'm not pressuring myself, I'm in it to have fun! And it's okay to not read if you're not feeling like it. If you are participating please remember to have a great time because that's the most important thing. Anyway, now that we got the updates out of the way, here's my TBR list!
1. Read the group book Otherworld by Jason Segel & Kirsten Miller
I won't be able to complete this challenge because I can't get my hands on a copy of the book by the end of this week. I believe it hasn't been translated, even if I want to read it in English, I'd have to order it and it won't arrive on time and so on...
2. Read a sequel
As mentioned, Red Rising by Pierce Brown is one of my current reads and if I manage to finish it during the week, its sequel Golden Son will be covering this challenge.
3. Read a book you've never heard of before
For this one, I picked The Edge of Forever by Melissa E. Hurst. I have this book sitting on my shelves since last Christmas but I didn't even know what it was about until I had to pick something for this challenge.
From what I gathered, it follows two characters from different timelines. One has to go back in time to save the other and I think it sounds pretty good.
4. Read a book about mental illness
I, once again, am very disappointed that I probably won't be able to complete this challenge. All the books about mental illness that I want to read are contemporaries and I want to read contemporaries in English as they are easier to comprehend and to follow. Also when I want to get them, I need to order them online which brings us to the first case... *sigh*
5. Read a book that was mentioned in another book/movie/show etc.
I have tried to find a book for this but I honestly could not. The only one that I can think of is Tales of Beedle the Bard which is mentioned in Deathly Hollows. We'll see about it. I'll try to update on that later in the week if I write for other challenges!
6. Read a book under 200 pages
My pick for this is Twelve Years a Slave by Solomon Northup. It's a really tiny book that I have to read for English class and I thought it'd be a good chance to read it.
7. Read a backlist title
And last but certainly not least, I need to read a book that was published before 2017. Or '18? I'm not sure but my aforementioned current reads cover this challenge.
There you have it, my Winter Bibib TBR. These are just the books that I'm hoping to get to while completing the challenges. I won't be sad or anxious about reading all of them, I'm already happy to have found a book for almost every challenge!
I'd love to hear about your plans for this week and as per usual, thanks for stopping by and I'll see you later!
