FAVOURITE SUMMER READS | BIBIB 2018

Hello hello hello! The second day of Bibliathon has arrived and today's challenge is hosted by artemisstarlite over on Instagram. It is basically all about the books that you associate with summer. I, personally, love to read fantasy during the summer because it is a large break from school and I have almost all the time in the world. I feel like summer is a great opportunity for me to get to big fat books that I usually wouldn't have the time to. But on the other hand, since it's such a bright and cheerful season, it's pretty convenient for contemporary too.

I'd say When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Manon is an amazing pick for summer time. It's a light-hearted story about two teenagers who find themselves in a pretty awkward situation, to say the least.

As for the other genre mentioned, despite the fact that I haven't read it yet, The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss fits perfectly. It is a giant monster of a book with 994 pages. You get the point I think...

Also, a fast-paced series would be a lot of fun to marathon all at once. I'm currently on the third book, City of Glass, of the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare and I'm really enjoying reading them back to back.

Another very quick post... I hope you guys liked it. This year's challenges don't really feel like challenges (well, except for day three which I am super excited for.) They feel kind of rushed and not very thought upon, I guess. And repetitive. I don't mean to offend anyone, just something that I was thinking. I'm sure the hosts came up with the challenges they thought were great, I respect and appreciate that. Anyways, thanks for stopping by and I will see you next time.
